Mine Electric Locomotive Routine Maintenance

To make the mine locomotive intact, safe and economic operation, maintenance and inspection of mine locomotive needs daily checking contents , as follows: 

(1) Check the status of the brake shoe, replace the brake shoes, adjust brake shoe clearance; 

(2) Check whether the brake system’s brake, transmission rod (chain) and the connecting element is normal, complete. 

(3) Check wheels for cracks, loose tire, wheel tread wear depth; 

(4) Check the gearbox (cover) fixing is solid, whether spills oil; 

(5) Check the frame spring hanger, balance beam for cracks; 

(6) Check the connection means, without damage and wear overrun; 

(7) Check sanding device is flexible and reliable, sand port is aligned with the center of the track surface; (8) Check the air compressor is functioning properly, whether the duct leakage, discharged waste oil and water inside the air tank; 

(9) Check the air compressor motor, carbon brushes and brush holder is normal; 

(10) Check the regulator contactor, clean dirt surface of various mechanical parts; 

(11) by a predetermined time, with specified grease, clean up each oiling point, oiling and lubricating; (12) Check all fasteners are complete, tighten; 

(13) Check the spring pressure collector, skateboard wear, collector landing is flexible, complete; 

(14) Check each resistor terminals and the resistive element, no loose and fracture; 

(15) Check each controller terminals loose situation, each contactor have burning r not, especially contactor in frequent action; 

(16) after the mine locomotive stopped work, immediately inspect the traction motor and bearing bush oil tank, the motor temperature is not exceed the limit specified by the manufacturer. 

(17) keep a good headlamp brightness, replace damaged bulbs and fuses, fuse capacity must meet the requirements; 

(18) battery mine locomotive must check the cable connecting to the pin is firm, whether explosion-proof performance good;
